The Ms. Mary Wiley Award

The “BURG” Family Reunion takes pride in honoring its eldest members who were born and raised in the town of Leesburg. The award was presented to Ms. Mary Wiley as the eldest living citizen of Leesburg, Virginia and she was the first recipient honored. This award is presented at our annual “BURG” Family Reunion. On the day Ms. Mary was recognized, the Committee made the decision to name the award in her honor and to present it to the next eldest living members.

The late Mr. John (Moody) Middleton was the recipient of the Ms. Mary Wiley Award for 2020.

Ms. Catherine Hughes was a recipient of the Ms. Mary Wiley Award for 2020. 

Ms. Alise Berry Cook is the recipient of the Ms. Mary Wiley Award for 2021. 

Ms. Luclle Lee is the recipient of the Ms. Mary Wiley Award for 2022. 

Mr. Paul Jakcson is the recipient of the Ms. Mary Wiley Award for 2022. 

Ms. Yvonne (Flossie) Fereell is the recipient of the Ms. Mary Wiley Award for 2023. 

Ms. Rosetta Bush is the recipient of the Ms. Mary Wiley Award for 2024.
