Community Involvement
The "BURG" Family Reunion is excited about partnering with groups that have the same interest they have. BFRC has developed a relationship with the LCPS Parent Liaisons. Our relationship with them will help us to identify families that are in need. These needs can vary from food, clothing and mentoring.
We are happy to announce that we have adopted Frederick Douglass Elementary School for the school year 2021-22 to provide help to African American families in need.
The mentoring piece will be handled by our other partner Family Mentoring Group. This group is led by Derrick Veney and our Board Member Ben Blakely. You can contact them by visiting their website: www.thefamilymg.com
One other group we are working with is the Omega Gold Development Group, Inc. led by Bleu Oliver. He is spearheading a Fatherhood Initiative piece. Details regarding this will be forthcoming.

The "BURG" Family Reunion Club is happy to announce the Birght Future School Supplies Drive in honor of Ms. Gertrude Wilkerson Hughes. The Board decided to name this in her name as she would always give a donation to the Board when she was alive.
The BFRC will be collecting school supplies at the Juneteenth Celebration 2022 and at our annual Reunion. If you would like to donate to the drive please send an email to burgreunion@gmail.com or you can call 703 593 4673.
